1. Open the .dmg and install
Double-click the downloaded file. A window opens showing the Feynominal icon — drag it onto Applications.
2. First launch — bypass macOS warning
Beta builds aren't notarized yet, so macOS will say “Feynominal can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.” This is expected.
In Finder: right-click Feynominal → Open → Open. You only need to do this once. From now on, just double-click like any other app.

3. Grant the permissions it asks for
On first launch the app will request:
- Microphone — so it can hear your spoken answers
- Automation— so it can read “now playing” from Spotify, Apple Music, and Podcasts
- Full Disk Access— only needed for Apple Books integration. Skip if you don't use Books. Set in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.
4. Pick your push-to-talk hotkey
Default is ⌥Space. Hold to record an answer, release to send. Change it in the menu-bar dropdown.
